Backers with shipping address in any of these 34 countries will NOT have to pay any additional fees and taxes (apart from the nominal domestic shipping fees that we charge when you make your pledge here on Kickstarter). Which means you will NOT be paying any import/customs duty, sales tax, VAT, etc. We’ve got everything covered.
*INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING – Rest of the World:
Backers from all other countries (Rest of the world) may have to pay additional import duties and other applicable taxes to the concerned authorities upon receipt of their goods, based on the import policies of their respective countries. The duties and tax rates vary from country to country and we are unable to help you determine that for your shipment. If you wish to learn about the duties and taxes applicable to your shipment, you may want to check with the customs and border protection authority of your country.
From our experience we have learned that most of the countries have higher thresholds for import duties and majority of our international customers don’t get charged any additional fees apart from the regular shipping fees on Kickstarter.
Our founders – Yoganshi and Hiral tied the knot in 2013 and before their first anniversary, Hiral had to move to Chicago for his MBA. This started a series of frequent flights between Chicago and San Francisco to help with their long-distance relationship. You may know that flights from Chicago to San Francisco are up to 8hrs long (including layovers). Every time Hiral traveled to the west coast, he would try to catch up on sleep and carry a bulky neck pillow, and if he forgot to carry his pillow (which he always would), he ended up buying a $25 pillow at the airport. This laid the foundation for the idea of solving all travel related problems with one jacket, designed with everything a traveler wants and needs and they named it BAUBAX.
