According to Polygon

Mega Man 11 launches on Oct. 2, alongside a fancy new amiibo. This new Mega Man amiibo appears to depict his updated 11 look.

This amiibo is only compatible with the Nintendo Switch version of the game and comes bundled inside the collector’s edition of Mega Man 11 in Japan. In the U.S., the amiibo is included with the simply named “amiibo edition” of the game, alongside a stage select cloth, some stickers, and a Dr. Wily patch. It’s currently unknown if the amiibo will be available outside of these bundles. We’ve asked Capcom for more information.

The first Mega Man amiibo was released in Feb. 2015 for his debut in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U, depicting a more classic look for the Blue Bomber. A year later, Mega Man Legacy Collection for Nintendo 3DS launched alongside an alternate, gold version.

Mega Man 11 sees the return of Dr. Wily and a new host of Robot Masters for Mega Man to tussle with. While his new foes promise to be as strong as ever, Mega Man has some new tricks up his sleeve as well:bHe will now be able to swap powers quickly through a weapon wheel, as well as charge his abilities to new levels thanks to the Power Gear system. These new tools come alongside the Speed Gear — an ability to slow time — and the Double Gear, which lets players activate the Power Gear and the Speed Gear simultaneously in a pinch.

As far as the Robot Masters, only the brick-building Block Man and the speedy Fuse Man have been revealed. Players should expect to hear more about Mega Man 11 at E3 this year. For another look at the game, check out the gallery below.
