@Roam85 We haven’t heard a word about Fire Emblem in over a year (and seeing as most games in that series end up in Japan first and wait months to be localized in the west, I don’t think it’s coming this year if we haven’t seen anything of it yet). Nintendo seems to have shelved Yoshi. I’m sure the game will surface at some point, but the fact that they are being absolutely silent about it leads me to believe it is getting some significant retooling and we might not see it for a while. Remember when we saw the first reveal of “Yarn Yoshi”? And then Yoshi‘s Woolly World didn’t release until a few years later? I think this is the same kind of scenario. And as far as Pokémon, I’m not at all excited for it. The Let’s Go games coming out this year look dreadfully simple, and though I’m sure they will sell well and appeal to a large audience, they are not for me.

It’s hard coming down off of last year when we got stellar first-party titles nearly every month. So far in 2018, we only received one brand new first party game, a competent yet simple Kirby title.

If Nintendo expects to sell 20 million consoles this fiscal year, they really need to step up their game, and fast.
